FPB Opening

Francois Payard Bakery (FPB) on West Houston opened today on September 21!

The pictures above were taken from the Soft Opening event last week. Mister Francois welcomed everyone and gave a warm tour of the bakery. We had an amazing time at the event with Francois, friends and visitors. The food, champagne and the music were all phenomenal and fun! You should check out FPB if you're around the neighborhood (especially the dessert!) Every purchase comes with a cute reusable tote bag designed by PTI packaging (pictures above).

Congratulations Rafael Nadal! Djokovic and Nadal played an unforgettable match that was 3 hours and 43 minutes long. It is Nadal's ninth Grand Slam singles title. Nadal is considered the third- youngest male player (24 years old) to achieve the career Grand Slam. Nadel mentioned, "This is more than I dreamed!" Packaging- Stressful or Beneficial?

Stressful packaging

"Frustration -Free" packaging

Packaging Is All the Rage, and Not in a Good Way

Companies like Amazon and Philips switched to "frustration -free" packaging that avoids the use of non- recyclable plastic cases and air bubble wraps. The Amazon site received seventy-three percent less negative feedback! "Frustration-free" packaging is quicker to produce, cheaper and hundred percent eco- friendly (only use recyclable and recycled materials)!

So why is Target and Walmart still using traditional packaging? Because new change equals time and money. Traditional packaging also prevents shoplifting and stealing because it is complicated and harder to open (usually need scissors or a knife to cut plastic packaging).

Target and Walmart may disagree with "frustration -free" packaging but they are experimenting with e-commerce friendly packaging. Other companies who believe in the idea of "frustration- free" packaging, like Duracell, Bounty and Tide, presented their own version of "frustration -free" packaging that is sustainable and accessible.

Plastic to Oil Converting Machine

A Japanese man invented a machine that converts plastic bags into oil. The oil can be used for cars, motorbikes, generators, boilers and stoves! It is toxic free (does not harm the environment) and it decreases 80% of Co2 emissions. The machine is also being used in third world countries like in the Marshall Island, Philippines and countries in Africa. Plastic is no longer garbage, it is treasure!
