Times Running Out!

Designers at TO-GENKYO have introduced an innovative way to make sure we eat healthy. This new design prevents tampering of expiration dates on foods by means of a label that changes colors according to the levels of ammonia the foods emit from aging. Not only is it in the shape of an hour glass, but as it approaches the expiration date, the label becomes illegible, thus unable to sell. What's better than saving our stomachs and keeping food honest?

A Universal Brand Helping A Universal Cause

We think it's more than great that a company, such as Coca-Cola, has taken initiative in creating more sustainable packaging, as well as more energy-efficient production standards. Better yet, they have shown much progress in obtaining such goals. According to the following article posted by Packaging News, Coca-Cola's new plans to better the earth have saved the company more than $100 million in costs (see here).
Not only has the company focused on packaging, but they have also aimed to make improvements in everyday lifestyles, communities, as well as work environments (see here).
If everyone does their share of duties, even if it means just being more conscious about where we throw that bottle of water we just finished, we would be amazed by how much of a difference we could make in our one-and-only world.
